Courage, Guts and Risks

It takes a lot of courage and guts to be working overseas. The deciding moment alone whether to leave your current job over an unknown adventure is a real dilemma. Then, there’s the thought of being away from our family and loved ones, being alone and no one to turn to during sick days. Leaving our comfort zones behind and saying farewell to friends make things more complicated.

While everybody back home thinks that every overseas worker earns much in a day of work, this is not always the case. Just like anybody at home, every single penny earned is worth the sweat and hard-work exerted. The compensation may be a little bit higher but in reality; the more one earns, the more one spends too. The little extra earnings would then go to a lot of ways – savings, leisure, family, etc.

Speaking of savings, I’ve been thinking of effective ways to save lately. By merely depositing the money in the bank may not be advantageous because in times that I feel the urge to spend, I just can easily withdraw them in an instant. I have also thought of starting a small business with a friend or maybe make some investments in insurance. But at the back of my mind, I‘m asking; Is there is a worldwide insurance that guarantees security with my money?

These ventures take lots of courage, guts and risks, too.
